Collaboration, action research, installation
angeli, not on an empty stomack
A collaborative project with Nathan Raccah , Ward Lauwers and Rients Dijkstra
2021
Angeli, not on an empty stomach, is built from a generous body of field research,
interviews and experimentation. During six months, we experimented with virtual production
sets, computer networks, recycled ceramics, cooking and camping. Collaborating with the
MU Hybrid Art House expanded this technical and functional research into an exhibition and practice,
in between digital nomadism and bushcraft.
The conclusion displays a set of functional units allocated to different symbolic tasks or potential activities. They embrace a coexistence of the world’s given nature and nowadays complex technology. We developed alternative usage of technologies in a natural realm, embracing contradictions, and searching for what objects are saying about who builds and uses them.
